Budgam, Aug 12 (KNO): The second youth injured in the August 5 electrocution incident at Ichgam in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has succumbed to his injuries, raising the death toll in the tragedy to two. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on August 5, Zeeshan Ahmed and Adfar Imtiyaz of Ichgam were electrocuted while bathing in a spring at Houshonag Bagarpora when a live electric wire fell into the water. Zeeshan died on the spot and was declared dead on arrival at District Hospital Budgam, while Adfar suffered critical injuries. Adfar was first treated locally before being shifted to Srinagar hospital. After battling for life for several days, he succumbed to his injuries today. His body was brought to his native village of Ichgam for last rites where hundreds of people participated in his funeral.
